Love you so much Nana, forever in our hearts! You gave us all so many wonderful memories (my first dog (Sheena), July 1 celebrations, sleepovers, baking, Xmas mornings & summer holidays in Dover with Nana, so many stories and joyous laughter shared) we will treasure forever.

Betty, you taught everyone to crochet, but me! I know it’s because you knew my talents were elsewhere. And it wasn’t baking either! But boy can I scrub a mean floor and call to annoy you during your show.
Dave referred to you as ‘Mother Superior’ and he was right. You will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace, love Pudge xx

Betty McQuillan was one of the most lovable ladies & I am proud to say she was a friend ! Thinking of her brings a smile to my face just thinking of the Royal bank stories we shared & the many laughs we had ! We could look at each other and automatic grins would come over our faces knowing it was going to be a good visit. Rest In Peace Betty. I will never ever forget the things you taught me about being a good person. Perhaps a bit mischievous too I must add ! Lol I leave you now in our Lord’s care ! Amen

I met Auntie Bette in 1997 while staying with Patrice. She taught me to crochet her blankets. I have been making them ever since and all new babies of family and friends get one of Auntie Bette’s rugs.
Truly one of a kind.

Imagine sharing your birthday at the retirement home with your two mothers. Betty made her favourite son-in-law the best butter and mince tarts as well as sweaters for every occasion. She always hid silver dollars in her money cakes as well as brown bills in the card. Many 'rewarding' hours were spent at Flamboro Downs. She was quick to share her winnings. I couldn't have asked for better in-laws than Betty and Bill. Betty will be pleased to hear that her 2004 Buick Century is earning a Science degree at Western.

My memories of A. Bette are spending the day watching old Westerns with her. I rocked up to the house with a few cold ones but she had organized one of her girls to get a case down at the Beer Store. She was a ‘good old stick’, highly decorated through the Royal Bank and stories I could listen to all day. And did... Cheers to you Aunt Bette xx

So many fond memories.... Watching the Y&R while swigging a rye and ginger. A. Bette would have me in stitches with all her wise cracks. Then she would call to make sure I got home in one piece and hadn’t been picked up by the cops! You will be so so missed. One of a kind with a sense of humor to get her through the tough times... gone but not forgotten xx

The matriarch of a long line of Royal Bankers... thanks for that Aunt Bette. Always looked forward to Christmas when there'd be a silver dollar from her in the bottom of a pencil case. Still have several of them stashed away! Rest in peace and say hi to Bill up there! xoxo

I always loved visiting Aunt Bette and Bill. She always made it special. She turned me on to dipping toast fingers into a soft boiled egg and gave me the egg cup holder that I still use today. It always reminds me of her. You'll be dearly missed!!

I remember sleepovers at Aunt Bette's "little house" on St Patrick Street....it was lots of fun being able to walk those few steps from Nana Powell's house to visit. Always had the welcome mat out for the nieces and nephews. You'll be missed by many. Rest in peace.
