Carol will be very sorely missed. We always looked forward to seeing her when she and Bob would visit Ottawa, and I have many fond memories of getting together with them both in New Brunswick, their beautiful location in PEI, and later on here in Ontario with Lisa and I. We both remember her as a kind, loving, soul. Our sincerest condolences go out to Shawn and Kendra.

To say everything that I wish to say about Carol I would have to write a novel. There would be a chapter about her love, skills and accomplishments as a wife, mother and grandmother. This dedication was also extended to all family as well as members of the communities in which she lived. The next chapter would tell of her modesty about her accomplishments - unassuming, but rock solid in her convictions, unmoving in her loyalty. Then I could continue writing about our shared love for Classic Country Music and humour. Oh yes, even if she tried to hide it you could always see amusement in her eyes. This novel would have many pages and not easily set down.
To know Carol was to love her - simple as that. Painful as losing her is, we can take solace in that Carol's was a life well lived, and a little bit of her will continue to live in each of us for as long as we live.
At this time, may God touch you with His tender hand.

Bob, Shawn, Kendra - and all of your dear family,
We are all thinking of you at this incredibly difficult time. The girls and I are sharing memories of the unique joy and love for life that they learned from her, and all of you. Our lives would simply not be the same without the time Carol spent with Alanna and Jackie during their early years. We are forever grateful to have had that special time.
