Obituary of Bill Sinden

SINDEN, William "Bill" of Port Dover passed away at Norfolk General Hospital on Monday, August 19, 2024 in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his wife Bernice (2011). Cherished father and father-in-law of Barbara Barager and Keith Smith of Simcoe, Deborah Ryerse of Thamesford and Tracey Winters and Mark Cubitt of Port Dover and William Sinden of Lakeshore. Lovingly remembered by his 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Larry and Marie Sinden of Vittoria. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Ellen Sinden, his granddaughter Teresa Ryerse and siblings Harold and his wife Betty, Aldwin and his wife Hilda, Allan and his wife Norma, Hazel Sullivan and her husband Art and sons-in-law Norm Barager and Donny Ryerse. Bill worked many years in road construction and for Norfolk Quarries as a foreman before his retirement.  He will be fondly remembered for his wit and sense of humour that he had until the end. Visitation for Bill will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024, 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERALHOME 102 First Ave. Port Dover 519-583-1530. The Funeral Service to celebrate Bill's life will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 11 am. Reverend Kathryn Vance officiating.  Interment Port Dover Cemetery.
