Obituary of Irene Ruby Hogan
HOGAN, Irene (nee Doering) passed away peacefully at Cedar Crossings, Simcoe on Sunday, July 7, 2024 in her 91st year. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Hogan. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Nancy and Roland Lachance of Port Dover. Loving and proud grandmother of Carmen and Greg Davis and Leeanne Lachance and Dan Petheram and great-grandmother of Grace, Evan, Renée and Grayson. Loving sister and sister-in-law of June and Fred West of Deep River, and Carl and Mary Doering of Pembroke. Predeceased by her parents Alfred and Rose, sister Loretta and her husband Eric, sister Stella and her husband Clarence. Irene touched many lives, including many nieces and nephews. She loved to sew quilts for others and enjoyed playing euchre. Irene looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends in the Widows' Club. Special thanks to the nurses at Cedar Crossings and to her daughter Nancy who provided invaluable care to Irene for many years. Friends are invited to share their memories of Irene with the family at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave. Port Dover 519-583-1530 on Thursday, July 11, 2024 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11 am on Friday, July 12, 2024 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church (Lynn Park Rd.) Port Dover. Father Charles Celebrant. Cremation to follow.
