Obituary of Annie Marie Meade

MEADE, Annie Marie (nee Wood) passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Anson Place, Hagersville on Thursday, May 16, 2024 in her 91st year. Waiting for her is her husband Ted who passed away in 1988.  Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Nancy Meade of Hagersville, Kathy and Doug Sullivan of Hagersville, Cindy and Scott McMurchy of Caledonia and Becky Williams of Delhi. Loving and devoted grandmother of Douglas, Matthew, Phillip, Michaela, Nicholas and Ashley and great-grandmother of 8. Dear sister-in-law of Paul Harriott of Simcoe and Blanche Phibbs of Jarvis. Predeceased by her parents John and Jean Wood, grandson Cody Ivey, sisters Lorraine Harriott and Betty Coedy and (John), brother Bill Wood, brother-in-law Rex Phibbs and the Meade family, Evelyn (Blake) Field, Wray Meade, Lloyd Meade, Hazel and Leo Barry, Cyril and Verna Meade and Mabel and Albert Thompson. The family wishes to give a special thank you to Jim and Sue Chechak for being such great friends to Mom.  Annie Marie is one of the remaining members of "The Gang". She will be well remembered by friends and family for her love of cards and baking. Mom and Dad are together again, dancing in heaven. Thank you to all the staff at Anson Place for the dedicated, compassionate, patient, care they gave Mom during her time there. A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11 am at St. Paul's Anglican Church (Market & St. George Sts.). The Reverend Bishop Barry Clarke officiating.
