Obituary of Evangeline Post

POST, Shirley Evangeline September 10, 1932 - April 19, 2023 It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Evangeline on April 19, 2023 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her loving husband Gord, brothers Norval (Bobbi), Murray (Shirley) and her sister Bernice (Earl). Evangeline will be sadly missed by her son Peter (Lynn), and her daughters Cherie and Bonnie (Scott) as well as her special friend Gay. Cherished Grandmother of Cason, Devon, Shawn, Talia, Cassidy, Ramsey, Karisa, Brittney, Meggi, Shelby and Riley and several great-grandchildren. Evangeline loved to play the piano, enjoyed knitting and crafting and will be fondly remembered by everyone for her love of cooking and baking with family time spent enjoying her treats. She always looked forward to her Saturday mornings with friends at the Silver Lake Market. She was a member of the Knox Presbyterian Church, the Heather Club, and was the pianist for several years for the Lions Club in Port Dover. The family would like to thank the staff at Parkview Meadows for the continual care and compassion provided. As per her wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530.
