Dear family, friends (near and far) and neighbours,
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to everyone for your tremendous support to me in so many ways following the passing of my wonderful husband, Grant;
the words of support, offers of help, companionship, emails, texts, cards, messages, tributes, meals, baking, flowers, photographs for the celebration of life, donations to the Cancer Society, attending the service, and celebrating Grants life with me.
I wish I could thank everyone personally. I believe Grant would be extremely touched and humbled by your support, friendship and love.

I met Grant at Lakehead University. We became instant friends and buddies. He had a great sense of humour and disposition. I visited with him in Toronto and he visited me in Vancouver. We always had good laughs and good times over a beer or two. So very sorry to hear of his passing. I’ll keep fond memories of Grant with me. He enriched the lives of people he met.

The TTC and more specifically Wheel Trans was a better place when Grant joined our group. He could always be counted on to provide a unique perspective that ultimately produced a better service. Our Wheel Trans customers continue to be well served by his ideas.
I really enjoyed hearing about Grant’s bikeing and skiing adventures which were always full out and captured on photos which he loved sharing.
May the memories of your life together give you comfort and strength in the days ahead.

Lynette, we’re so sorry that you have lost Grant too soon. It will take time to heal but we hope that the closeness that you shared and the many wonderful memories you have will help to ease the pain over time. We have so many memories of the fun times we shared with you both over the past 30+ years. Grant will be missed but never forgotten. Love from Dennis and Vicki

My wife Kelly and I were saddened to hear of Grant's passing. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Lynette and all of Grant's friends and family. We both met Grant while we worked at Wheel-Trans and always found him thoughtful, cheerful and helpful. Grant had a tremendous sense of humour and always had an interesting or funny story to tell. It was fun working with him and even more fun on the few occasions we enjoyed a beer after work with Grant and our colleagues.

My sincere condolences to all friends and family.
I worked with Grant for many years at TTC Wheel-Trans. I enjoyed working with someone who was truly a professional, respectful and caring person. Grant was thoughtful and took pride in his work. He would let you know in a respectful manner as to his opinion and explain his point of view. He was detailed and precise. I will always appreciate my time working with Grant and his freindship.
Truely someone who I learned from.
After his biking accident, I visited Grant at the Toronto Rehab Centre and he told me he was going to walk and bike again. I believed him fully as I knew he was determined.
I will cherish the memories.

My sincerest condolences to Lynette and the entire Marcinkow clan....
Grant was a humble gentle giant, a Superman to us at the TTC. He loved to share his life experiences and his wonderful journeys. He became a dear friend and helped me find myself along the way. He always took time to speak with everyone, and treated others with compassion, respect, humanity and dignity. His knowledge was beyond compare.
You taught me so many life skills along our journey.
I will miss you dearly my friend and will cherish every moment, every incredible memory.
Fortunate to have been your friend, David LP

I shall always remember Grant as “G-man, a gentle giant that my kids loved to climb on. Every time that he entered our home, there was a buzz of human activity. He was energetic, informed, and incredibly generous with his time. One afternoon, while Pauli and I were at work, Grant and his father Walter, somehow managed to move a huge shed from one low lying position to an upper level position at the back of our yard. They said nothing and simply waited to see the surprised joy on our faces.
Grant was always willing to put his strength and energy at the service of others. He was a true adventurer in life that I loved and admired. As a husband, he always displayed affection and love for his wife. When we first met, back in Thunder Bay, he expertly took me around to his major hangouts for a beer and carefully explained the ways of northerners to the life- long city boy..
Grant is already terribly missed, but he is also warmly remembered. He was especially loved by his favourite sister” Pauli.
