Katie my condolences and thoughts are with you and all of Jim's extended family.
Jim was a friend that I valued for the past 20+ years.
Every day that I was visiting my late wife Nancy I always stopped to say high Merph as I always called him. He is now in a better place.

My condolences and thoughts are with Jim's family. I worked a couple of years at the Port Dover SAR station and always enjoyed seeing Jim's white suburban pull up. He would drop in occasionally for a coffee and a chat. Such a nice person and enjoyable company. So many interesting stories about Lake Erie, wrecks and diving adventures. A great person all around. Rest in peace Jim.

So many memories of Jim. Such a lovely guy. We shared a few little political adventures together that were always fun. Jim would show up at the house for a tea and we'd plot. He introduced me to locals and showed me some of the ropes through our Fish Fest collaborations. You'll be missed Jim.

Jim helped me out of a rough spot back a few year ago, I will never forget it. Missing the talks at the front counter at the Maple Leaf office when he was out and about in town. Legend of a man.

This guy ❤️⚓️
This guy was always teaching me slang from 1920 and 1930. Like cat’s pyjamas and bee’s knees.
Seeing him walk through the doors of our store (Stoney’s) always meant I was going to have a good laugh. Always full of stories. Always full of love for our community. Always full of wisdom.
I am truly a better person because of you.
Murph. I miss you. Rest easy my friend ❤️ Love and hugs to Jamie, Katie, and all those who loved him ❤️⚓️O
