I met Nancy the year we both turned 9. She was my first Canadian friend after immigrating from Scotland. I learned of her death too late to attend her funeral yesterday but was able to watch it virtually last night.
Adam, Tara and Eric my heart goes out to the 3 of you. During your speeches I could feel the love you shared with your Mom. She always spoke very proudly of each of you.
My deepest condolences to Carla, Lori, Sara and Scott. I am sorry that my message got to me too late to personally be with you yesterday. Nancy always updated me on each of your lives whenever we caught up. It was comforting to know that you were all able to care for her in her final days.
I will remember you forever Nancy.
Love,
June and Darryll

To all of Nancy's loved ones, my heart goes out to you. I have fond memories of spending a lot of time at the Water's house on Bartley Bull in Brampton. The door was always open, everyone was welcomed and it seemed the more the merrier. What fun we had! I was fortunate to come down to Port Dover a few years ago for a reunion with a lot of the old gang and I think we laughed as much then as when we were kids. I won't forget you, Nancy.

I attended the livestream service today as I was unable to attend in person.
My name is Cathy Dutchak (Furlong - daughter of Albert and Lois Furlong). Although I would not expect anyone to remember me I am sure there are pictures in Evelyn’s detailed record of family trees, if that has been preserved.
I have not seen anyone from your side of the family since before Evelyn’s passing. My mom and I would visit Evelyn regularly, in Port Dover.
Interestingly my memories of your family are mainly around funerals as that is when we seemed to all gather. And then back to Evelyn’s home for food, drinks and many laughs. So coming full circle today to witness Nancy’s funeral was a bookend to the small piece of her life that I knew.
Every word spoken today was carefully placed with such heartfelt love, from everyone involved. It is quite obvious that Nancy was an Angel and will be deeply missed.
Your family was always warm and welcoming and although I knew they were in business mode, it was clear even as a youngster, that their business face was not an act.
With sympathy.

Nancy was one of the most genuine, kind, loving and caring souls you could ever meet.
I will truly miss her.

Adam, Tara and Eric, It is so hard to lose a family member, most especially your mother. Mothers are special, they bond with you and love you beyond measure before you draw your first breath. And so it was with Nancy. She loved each of you beyond measure and was proud of all of you for your own gifts.
She was a mother, a mentor, a friend and a role model and she and your dad raised you to be caring, compassionate, kind and strong adults. I am certain that as she looked back on her life these last few weeks, she realized she succeeded in all she set out to do for her family. The three of you are her legacy, a gift to all of us.
Honour her by living your life like her. She is with you and you will see her in each other and in your children. A look in someone’s eye, the way they smile, the turn of a phrase, your mom/Nana is watching over you and will comfort you.
May she Rest In Peace in the arms of God, surrounded by the angels.

Mom/Nana
There really isn’t many words, but at the same time so many questions. Life truly is unfair sometimes and you were taken from us way too soon. We are going to miss you so much and at times feel like I dunno what I am going to do. I will be strong though as that is what you would want me to be as you told me that all the time! I know you will be with me and in my heart and soul for the rest of my life and I will be watching for you and your signs.
Mom and I shared many passions alike, but the two, I will def remember and miss the most are our cheering on our beloved Maple Leafs and eating sweets at anytime or day, especially our DQ Blizzards . I will miss her phone calls and messages asking “what channel is the game on tonight?” Or “Did we win last night?, I fell asleep” She would always message me after the leafs would lose in playoffs (which is a lot) and say she felt bad for me cause she knew how upset I was. I hope soon enough mom they can win it for us and when they do, I know you will be right there with me celebrating.
The boys are going to miss Nana and their special bond that can not be replaced. Again, they will be strong and know they have you with them to keep safe and direct for the rest of their lives. They have the best guardian angel we could ask for and I know you will be there for all of us!
Rest easy beautiful mama, the amount of people you have touched in this world is mind blowing and will live on forever! We love you to the moon and back Nana X 100000000000
Always and Forever Mom xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Adam, Tara & Eric, unfortunately there is no words that can be said that will take the pain away from the loss of your Mother. We know only time will deaden the pain, but never take it away.
Nancy was a welcomed addition to the Styles family. Her smile and laugh just took over the space she was occupying. This is a memory that will forever be with Rhonda & myself.
She always brought that big smile anytime we saw her, even when it was a Styles' get together :)
Of course our condolences go out to yourselves, but also Brianne, Jay and all of her grandchildren.
Unfortunately all of your children have lost a wonderful Nana; however, I know all of you will make sure she will always be a part of their lives.
All of our love,
Uncle Keith & Aunt Rhonda

So many memories! Nancy was the first person I met when I moved to Brampton from Edmonton. We were in the same class and became close friends through public school, middle school and high school. We had some great times together - swimming at the quarries, dancing at the hotels on the airport strip (underage!), summers enjoying the beach at Port Dover. Nancy was Miss Grade 9 Sweetheart and no wonder – she was beautiful, outgoing and had a smile and a giggle that was contagious! Nancy was a bridesmaid in our wedding and we went to the airport to see her off when she went to California. I was so proud of her – off to see the world! Time, distance, family and work kept us apart after that, but the occasional phone call and we were right back – BFF! Nance, hope you are at peace now and just know the world is a lonelier place without you for so many.
Nancy was so lucky to have such a wonderful, supportive, loving family. Our deepest sympathies to all of you. Big hugs!
