I am so sorry & shocked to hear that Bobbie had passed away. Doug and l send our condolences to Fiona & Graham & their families. I will miss, but hang onto the great memories of arena days & singing & clapping our "Go Dover Cheers", working together at Calbecks and watching her smile as she gave candy to the little ones that were shopping with their parents. We will alway appreciated Bobbie & Ricks love & support in time of our needs. Later in life we chatted on the phone through covid times & enjoying just hearing a friends voice & smile through the phone. RIP my friend

Whenever I placed a phone call to Bobbie, she always picked up with the cheeriest hello. Of all the people I know, her hello was the cheeriest. As a person Bobby was kind, strong, committed, and cheerful. She will be sadly missed in our community.

Roberta Cox and I went to the same Church Sunday School, and the same High School, Airdrie Academy.
Roberta's Dad was a Publican, and my Mum and Dad used to work with her Mum and Dad when they had to do social events at the Pub or else where.
We never saw each other after High School for years. My wife and I moved to Simcoe in 1971, and while shopping in a local grocery store, our cart bumped into someone else's cart, and that someone turned out to be Roberta Cox, now Bobby Quirk.
It is a pity, that friendships come and go, but that is the way of life. After Rick had passed, I would bump into Bobby at Timmies when she was there with her girlfriends, or at some function or other.
It is so true, you don't miss someone until their gone.
Fiona, I am so sorry for your lose. Take strength from the fact that your Mum had a good life. It is my opinion she was a very strong woman. It takes a lot to give up your family and emigrate to another land. Your Mum did that.
