Obituary of Dorothy O'Brien

O'BRIEN, Dorothy (nee Hare) of Port Dover,  passed away at Norfolk General Hospital on Monday, September 6, 2021 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Peter (1996). Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Raymond and Chris O'Brien, Cam and Cindy O'Brien, Linda and John Soles, Pam and Murray Walker, Lorrie MacIvor, Lisa O'Brien and George Wight. Much loved grandmother of Jeff (Megan), Michael (Tania), Tyler, Ryan, Daniel, Ashley, Kyle, Dustin, Kendra and great-grandson Liam. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Mel and Barb Hare. Predeceased by her parents Cecil and Alma Hare, son-in-law Donnie MacIvor, grandson Travis and siblings, Doris, Mable, Blanche, Nellie, Bruce and Clarence. Dorothy was a life member of the Port Dover Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch  #158. She enjoyed knitting, buying scratch tickets and playing bingo. Dorothy will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson Waters Funeral Home, Port Dover 519-583-1530. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions a  private family service and interment will be held. The Reverend Kathryn Vance officiating.
