Obituary of Hazel Barbara Hampson

HAMPSON, Hazel Barbara (nee Fern) passed away peacefully at Parkview Meadows, Townsend on Monday, August 16, 2021 in her 78th year. Beloved wife of Brian for 50 years. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Peter and Glenda of Nova Scotia, David and Tammy of British Columbia, Andrew and Jamie of Nova Scotia and Philip and Kathy of Nova Scotia. Loving grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of three. Predeceased by her parents Alfred and Nellie Fern. Hazel has previously belonged to the Canadian Kennel Club, the American Kennel Club and the Dominion Collie Club. Dogs were her passion, she has shown dogs across North America. Hazel was also a breeder, she loved to help and teach newcomers get started in the show and breeding world. Friends are invited to share their memories of Hazel at memorial visitation at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover 519-583-1530 on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 7 pm to 9 pm, masks are required and social distancing observed. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 2 pm in the funeral home Chapel. Deacon John Doomernik officiating.
