Obituary of Glen Elliot Taylor

TAYLOR Glen Elliott, April 12, 1947 - December 20, 2020. It is with great sorrow that the family of Glen Taylor announces his death. Glen died peacefully at home with Margaret at his side. Glen was born in London, ON. Son of the late Florence and John Taylor. Loving husband to Margaret for 53 years. Dad to Jena (Eric) Botsford of Largo Florida and Julie Mavin (Michael Cain) of Whitby, ON. Poppa will be missed by four beautiful grandchildren, Toshia and Josh Mavin and Abby and Jack Botsford. Glen is also survived by his two sisters Patricia (BJ) Hathaway of Augusta, Georgia and Charmaine (Bill) Fletcher of London, ON, as well as a brother John Taylor of London. Glen is retired from Waterloo Regional Police Services after 32 years as a constable and as a detective in the Ident Branch. Glen and Marg boated for many years up in Georgian Bay. Glen taught power squadron for many years in the Region of Waterloo as well as Port Dover once he retired and moved to Port Dover. He also enjoyed his motorcycles and sporty cars. Due to Covid-19, all services will be private. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson Waters Funeral Home, Port Dover, 519-583-1530. Margaret would like to thank all the home care nurses and staff. A special shout out to Elana Lloyd RN, she was with us through the whole ordeal. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Glen will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
