Lynette was my teacher, mentor, and friend and I am so shocked and sad to hear just recently of her passing in September..
She graciously shared her great knowledge of the natural world and the art of watercolor in such a way that always made you feel that you can achieve your goals.
I will miss her every time I pick up a paint brush or see a flower, bird, or seashell,,,
Lynette was a jewel who left us much too soon.

I was very sorry to hear of Lynette's passing. She was a fellow member of the Botanical Artists of Canada (BAC). Her personality shines through her paintings, which always seemed joyful to me and which reflect a deep love of nature. I also appreciated all the work she did on the BAC Executive - thank you Lynette.
My deepest sympathy to her family

I was surprised and saddened to hear of Lynette’s passing. Lynette was a member of the Botanical Artists of Canada (BAC) for 7 years. She joined the BAC Executive in 2014 the same year as I did and was currently Regional Director, Central (ON). Lynette was instrumental in co-drafting BAC’s Mission, Vision & Values statement in 2016. On our Skype meetings Lynette could be quite candid in her remarks but then bring us to laughter with her quick wit.
Lynette did not hesitate to volunteer (at times with her sister/s) to sit exhibitions. One could tell her paintings at juried or member BAC exhibitions by their soft, flowing and sometimes whimsical depiction of plants in their surrounding habitat.
She will truly be missed by the BAC community. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
Jackie Gallagher, BAC member and past president (2015-2018)

Please accept my sincere condolence on your loss. I met Lynett at the art school in Dover and was immediately impressed with her style and grace. Her watercolors are so very beautiful and I know she leaves behind equally beautiful memories.
