To me, Georgia was a vibrant and passionate force in our community. She and Ken worked side by side to monitor our municipal government and to try to correct wrongs and oversights that were committed. I think her favourite book was The Ontario Municipal Act. We always had some amazing chats and she was always willing to provide information and guidance to the Port Dover Waterfront Preservation Association. I will miss her dearly. I’m so very sorry that my husband and I were away and missed Georgia’s service. Please accept our deepest sympathy and our thanks for the gift of Georgia in our lives. Marg

Ken, Elizabeth and family...so sorrry to hear of Georgia's passing...I have been doing Ken and Georgia's Footcare for many years ..
Georgia always was full of life and had such a wit about her...I will miss our visits.
I just returned today from a trip up north so did not hear this news until a few minutes ago.

Georgia was a cherished friend of Bridget’s.
Every Spring Georgia would arrive at our door (or store) with a beautiful bounty of lily-of-the-valley.
The two grew up on the streets on Port Dover.
Georgia was the friend Bridget always knew would agree with her when a fact about Mr. Cornish, St. Paul’s or some piece of Port Dover history, was being disputed.
She was a dear soul.

Condolences to the Painter and Morris families on Georgia's passing. She was a long time former neighbour at the head of Main St., where she grew up, and when she and Ken resided on the property that is Misner's Ball Park today. They had a market garden and fruit trees at that time. Georgia often came to my Mother with a basket of their harvest.

During my term on Port Dover council, Georgia's advice and wisdom was always welcomed.
Port Dover has lost one of its best caretakers and will be missed.
