Judy and I were saddened to see the passing of Val. I worked with Val on Manitoulin Island and in her last teaching/VP years at Little Current Public School. Val was always supportive, kind and caring. She loved the students with all her 'heart.' One time when we were just starting to do IEP's online on computer, I had spent hours working on the one's for my students and suddenly they were lost into cyberspace. I told Val that I was going to toss my computer out the window and to forget me doing IEP's. She saw that I was very upset and offered to do my IEP's again for me. I took her up on that offer! Judy and I send our condolences and HUGS to Don and her family. RIP Val

I met Val in late 1989 when my daughter Mandy was in her kindergarten class. I was her class helper that year & Val was great to work with & wonderful with & for the children. We will always remember her fondly, our deepest condolences from the MacLeod family of Gore Bay/ Sudbury.

Val was certainly an accomplished person. So many talents from poker to sword fighting and so much more!
In Val's memory we will make a donation to the St Stephen food bank. We think she would approve of our choice.

We are heartbroken at the loss of our treasured friend. Boris and Val were born in the same refugee camp and as such, formed a most unique bond when their families emigrated to Canada.Our daughter Tanya was blessed to have Val as her Godmother, a responsibility she took seriously. A wonderful spirit has left us but we are all better for having known her. We will always love you Val. Boris and Jennie

Cesar lost his second mother. He has looked Val's way through her illness. Val would buy the best treats for Cesar and he loved her dearly. He found his way over to the Hart house if not on his leash. Always fed well when there and some of Don's delicious steak found it's way to Cesar. Val never forgot Cesar's birthday or Christmas.
Wayne and I will truly miss this wonderful woman. We felt blessed to have such wonderful neighbours. Val was amazing working alongside Don in creating beautiful gardens.
Love you Val. Your spirit will live on.
