Dear Linda, William and Martha, James and Susan, Joanne and Grant and families.
We are very sorry for your loss of your Father, Father-in-Law and Grandfather.
We know how difficult it is to say goodbye, especially when he has had a long and active life, and contributed so much to his community. Jimmy, Linda and Joey and family, we are so very sad to hear of your father's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of your dad as I grew up. I know my parents loved your dad but especially my father. He commented after hearing the news that "I guess all our friends are leaving us". So sad!! My dad's best man. I can't begin to imagine the pain you are feeling. And again I am so sorry for your loss.
Unfortunately john and I cannot attend as our nephew is getting married the same day in Toronto. But our thoughts and prayers will be with you all! Hugs! Xo

I have so many good memories of Herb who was a great supporter of the Silver Lake Rowing Club. I'll miss that wit and those fun talks we often had down at Silver Lake.

It is with sadness in my heart that I write this, a note to let the family know Herb was a real asset to the Lions Club in the development of Silver Lake Park. Herb was chairman for many years of the Lion’s Silver Lake Committee, carefully charting a course of action to make the Park what it is now. Always full of ideas, and cajoling some of Norfolk County employees to help wherever that was possible. Having joined the Lions in 1991, he was an outstanding member for many years, and only lately he slowed down in his efforts to do good to the community as a Lion. He was instrumental in organizing the placement of benches at the Park, and he also made a handsome donation to the building of the Sports Park behind the Community Centre.
As Herb would say at the Silver Lake Meetings when asked for his input...............Just two things...........
Herb, just two things.....Rest in Peace,......and may your family be blessed forever.

I am greatly saddened to learn of my dear friend Herb.
I will miss his telephone calls and visits - all the great lines and laughter.
Herb was a very loving and giving spirit.
The animals and I will miss this wonderful man.
