I met Ken & Ilene 30, or so, years ago with their annual winter retreat to Florida. At the time, I ran a boarding kennel with my wife, and we cared for "Bo'sun", Ken's beloved black Labrador retriever. We became friends looking forward to seeing each other & catching up each year. I still remember taking him fishing for Grouper in the Gulf. It's true what they say: " you'll always remember how a person made you feel". May Ken rest in peace. The world has lost a "keeper".

Ilene,
I was so sad to hear of Ken's passing. I have so many memories of the fun we had together. An evening of silly card games really stands out.
Find strength in knowing how much you were loved and in the many happy memories that you will keep in your heart.
God speed, Ken!
Love
Carolyn

Grandpa, I will never forget the times in Long Point, fishing in the channel and working at the store. I still have some of the lures you gave me and the memories will last forever. You will be missed.

Dear Ilene, David and I are so very sad to hear of Ken's passing - we have been so lucky to have been friends for over 50 years to this funny, caring man. I know how much he loved you and his family, and of course, all the great dogs he had over the years. Jetta will be missing her afternoon naps with Daddy! I also know how very much he appreciated all you did for him, Ilene - He told me a few months ago that if it wasn't for you, he would have been in a nursing home a long time ago. You found all these trips that he was still able to do and give him something to look forward to. You truly were his angel, and, now he is ours. I'm so glad I got to see him last week, but so sad that didn't know it would be our last visit together. His struggles are now over, he tried so hard to stay with you, and I hope you can find some peace in knowing that you couldn't have done any more for him than you did. Sending you a big hug and lots of love, and my condolences to Denise, Kevin and their families also. Love, David & Dianne. xxx
