Obituary of Phyllis Keefer
KEEFER, Phyllis (nee Cooper) passed away peacefully on Monday June 26, 2017 at Norview Lodge at the age of 83. Phyllis is survived by her husband Roy, daughters Lynn Furler (Russell), St. Williams, Jo-Anne Burke (Rick) Windham Centre, Julie Robinson (Rick) Simcoe and Step-daughter Shelley Keefer (Jay) Simcoe, a Step-son Ralph Keefer (Debbie) Edmonton and son-in-law Ken Baxter, Kitchener. Also mourning her loss are 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Sue Baxter, her first husband Omer Potvin and all 6 of her siblings. Phyllis was an avid gardener and loved tending her roses and feeding the wild birds. She liked to travel, especially returning to her roots in Quebec. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 29, 2017, from 7 PM - 9 PM at the THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover, On (519-583-1530) The funeral will be held on Friday June 30, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Thompson Waters Chapel. The Reverend Brian Elder officiating. Cremation will take place and a private family interment will be held at a later date.
