It has been a year since your passing and not many days go by that you are not in my thoughts. When my family gets together to watch our family videos, which is at least once a year, there you are, playing guitar and singing along with my father that you both loved so much to do. You have brought so much joy to so many in your lifetime. I'm so proud and thankful to have known you.

Living next to our family in Windsor, Alma knew me since the day I was born and we kept in continued contact through the years. She treated me like her own son, with continued understanding, support and love. Whenever I speak of her, it is always with great fondness and I have always referred to her as the most capable woman I have ever known. I have lived in P.E.I.for the past nearly 30 years. Each year I travel to Ontario, and each time I had a visit with Alma, including the last few years when she didn't really remember who I was. From an early age, I adopted her as my mother and I will forever miss her.

Our heartfelt sympathy to all of you. We are unable to join in this memorial service due to work commitment so we want to send our message to all of you, the family, to let you know how much we are thinking of you today. Alma was such an awesome lady and the year that I got to travel and share with her the evenings after the fair closed down will be forever embedded on my heart. Oh the stories that she shared... I still smile, remembering them... Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. She was truly THE TAFFY LADY of Ontario's fair circuit.

We were very sorry to hear about Alma's passing. She was a wonderful neighbour to us for the many years we lived across from her on Water St. The kids would run to her house with great excitement at Halloween - knowing that "The Taffy Lady" would be giving taffy as treats! I am blessed to have a picture that she painted. She was a multi-talented woman. She helped so many people. She will be greatly missed.

Brett & Kevin and family we are saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a wonderful strong woman full of love and life. I still can see her as she pulled taffy at the Woodstock and Norfolk Fairs. Your taffy trailer was always one of our first stops. Her spirit will live on in our hearts. May the good memories give you the strength to keep going and the freedom to laugh or cry. In our hearts and prayers.

In memory of Alma, Our prayers go out to you all. We are honoured to have known her as a strong, vibrant women, who was always thinking of others before herself here. Helping where she could, never complaining of her ailments, while helping those less able than herself. A true inspiration. Sincerely, her adopted family at Dover Cliffs
