Obituary of Barbara Bennewies

BENNEWIES, Barbara Sadie (nee Beck) passed away after a brief illness on Monday July 20, 2015 at Norfolk General Hospital in her 72nd year. Dear mother of Darren and his fiancee Krista VanPaemel of Port Dover. Loving grandmother of Brayden, Shane and Jacob. Barb will be sadly missed by her siblings Warren (Alice) Beck of Simcoe, Shirley Brosseau of Simcoe, Deanna Loshaw of Port Dover and Dawn West of Toronto. Predeceased by her husband Keith (2009), parents Herbert and Delma, brother Art Counsel, sister-in-law Lorraine Counsel, brothers-in-law Moe Martin, Dave Loshaw and Roy West. Barb loved people and gave her time and attention to anyone that needed it, she gave generously of her time to local charities and in her spare time enjoyed sewing and doing her friends hair. Friends are invited to meet with family on Friday July 24, 2015 from 2pm - 4pm and from 7pm - 9pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME 102 First Ave. Port Dover (519)-583-1530. A Funeral Service will be held in Barbara's memory on Saturday July 25, 2015 at 11am at Grace United Church corners of St. George and Chapman Sts. Reverend Jeffry Smith officiating.
