Obituary of BARRY WICKER

WICKER, BARRY MACKENZIE WICKER, Barry Mackenzie, of Port Dover, it is with great sadness that we announce Barry's passing, on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Carol and loving father to Jeremy and his wife Josie. Dearly loved son of Margaret (Peggy) and the late Allan Wicker. Much loved brother of Marilyn Nigh and her husband David of Waterloo. Will be sadly missed by his niece Laura and nephew Peter and great-nieces and nephews, Katie, Ryan, David, Eric and Sophia. Dearest nephew of Kay Thompson. Barry was a well respected businessman and member of the Port Dover community; he was the owner/operator of Wicker & Son Insurance Brokers since 1963, which his father Allan started in 1931. In 1995 he was joined by his son Jeremy and his wife Josie. In his retirement, Barry rediscovered his love of fishing and spent many hours trying to land the big one. Barry was also a longtime member of St. Paul's Anglican Church.
