Obituary of JAMES FOLLINGTON

FOLLINGTON, JAMES RICHARD "RICK" FOLLINGTON, James Richard "Rick" of Woodstock, formerly of Port Dover, passed away at Norfolk General Hospital on Saturday, July 6, 2013 in his 63rd year after a very short but courageous battle with cancer. Cherished husband of Theresa (Sullivan). Loving father and father-in-law of Jason of Simcoe, Jimmy and Leslie of Delhi, Tyler of Woodstock, step-daughter Kerri Swick and Dean of Simcoe and step-son Jeffrey Sullivan and Kate of Schomberg. Proud and loving grandfather/papa to Dominic, Nicholas, Jesse, Veeda, and proud and loving Beepa to Adam, and Ryan. Rick will be sadly missed by his many siblings and other family members. Predeceased by his parents Irene and James, and grandsons Michael and Nathan. The family would like to give a special Thank You to Fran, Lisa, Patty, Carol, Karen and all the nurses on 4B for their care, love and support. Rick was a great joke teller, loved to play golf, and was a diehard Maple Leaf fan. His true passion was collecting Archie Comic Books, spending hours reading them. Rick was a welder at Forestdale Metal in Woodstock and will be sadly missed by his co-workers and all his friends at Dino's Restaurant. Friends are invited to meet with the family to share their memories of Rick at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530 on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, 7 pm to 9 pm (evening only). A Service to Celebrate Rick's Life will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, (St. George & Market Sts.) Port Dover on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 11am.
