O'BRIEN, ADA ANN O'BRIEN, Ada Ann of Port Dover passed away at her home comforted by her family on Thursday, August 18, 2011 in her 70th year. Beloved wife of Jim. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Ted and Laurie of Barrie. Cherished grandmother of Lindsay and Rodney. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Peter and Florence McEown of Simcoe, May Walker of Simcoe, Ann and Brian Maw of Huntsville. Predeceased by her daughter, Karen and brother-in-law Murray Walker. Ada worked for many years as a X-ray Technician at Norfolk General Hospital, Cedar St. Clinic, Simcoe and Pembrooke Civic Hospital. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Ada at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530 on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. Prayers at 2 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 11 am at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Lynn Park Rd. Port Dover. Father Frank Murphy celebrant, followed by cremation. For those wishing, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
