Obituary of ROSEMARY KANNAWIN

KANNAWIN, ROSEMARY KANNAWIN, Rosemary of Port Dover passed away after a brave battle with cancer on Monday, October 4, 2010 in her 71st year, at Norfolk General Hospital. Beloved wife and best friend of Alex. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Teresa and John Gallea of Waterford, William and Diane of Port Dover and Barry and Susan of Port Dover. Cherished grandmother of Shasta (Lorne), Trevor (Sara), Billy, Alexandria, Tyler (Robin), Tayler, Adam, Devon and Shawn, great grandmother of Katelyn, Johanna and Melody. Will be missed by daughter-in-law Kim Butler. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Colleen Moore, Dorothy O'Malley, and Donald Murtland. Predeceased by her brothers Charles and Ron O'Malley and sisters Patricia Duxbury and her husband Robert, Loreen Reoch and her husband Robert and Yvonne Murtland. Rosemary was an active member of St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church, past president of the C.W.L. and a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends and be fondly remembered for her compassion and caring nature. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 2 pm to 4 pm & 7 pm to 9 pm for visitation at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530. Parish prayers will be said at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 11:30 am at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church, Lynn Park Rd. Port Dover. Father Stephen Savel officiating. Interment Port Dover Cemetery. For those wishing, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Vincent de Paul or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
