Obituary of CHARLES KITCHEN

KITCHEN, CHARLES FRANKLIN KITCHEN, Charles of Port Dover, passed away at Norfolk General Hospital on Friday, July 9, 2010 in his 82nd year. Cherished and loving husband of Carol. Loving father and father-in-law of Michael and Natalie of Port Dover and Sophie of Port Stanley. Proud grandfather of seven. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law Ken Kitchen of Brantford, Joyce and Pat Styles of British Columbia, Fred Knechtel of Port Dover, Janice and Marshall Roth of Kincardine, and Gary and Barbara Dines of Waterloo. Will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Geoffrey, brothers, David Harold, Jack and Lloyd, sisters Carol Dawson and Betty Knechtel and sisters-in-law Carol, Louisa,Thelma and Gerry. Chuck was a long time employee of Parker Hannifin. After his retirement he joined the Port Dover Cemetery Board and was recently honoured for his many years of service. He was also member of St. Paul's Anglican Church. Chuck will be sadly missed by his family and friends, but will be remembered for his great sense of humour and his easy going nature. A Service to Celebrate Chuck's life will be held Friday, July 30, 2010 at 1 pm at St. Paul's Anglican Church (Market & St. George Sts.) Port Dover. The Reverend Father Kendall Reimer officiating. Interment Port Dover Cemetery. For those wishing, donations to the Port Dover Harbour Museum or the Port Dover-Woodhouse and District Community Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
