Obituary of Wesley Howden

HOWDEN, Wesley Melvin of Port Dover, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015 at Norfolk General Hospital in his 87th year. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen. Loved father of Bob and his wife Lori and Bill and his wife Shelley all of Port Dover. Much loved grandfather of Justin, Garrett and Taylor. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Eugene and Fran, of Port Dover, Eileen Hopton of Parry Sound and Marlene and Ross McDonald of Brantford. Predeceased by his brothers Don, Carl and Doug and brother-in-law Don Hopton. Wes was a very active member of the community, he served as a volunteer firefighters for 27 years, a former member of the Kinsmen and an executive of the Port Dover Sailors. He also enjoyed woodworking as an hobby. A Celebration of Life will be held in honour of Wes on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Market St. Port Dover from 2 pm to 5 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, Port Dover (519) 583-1530. For those wishing, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
