BURROUGHSFORD, DIANNE LORRAINE BURROUGHSFORD, Dianne Lorraine (nee Plunkett) of Port Dover, Ontario, was born in Pointe-Aux-Trembles, Quebec and grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. After a brave life lived with love and filled with special moments, the family of Dianne (Plunkett) Burroughsford announces her passing after a gutsy battle with cancer on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, in her 59th year. Happily married for 38 years to Rick. Amazing mom to Chris (Angie) Burroughsford, and Melissa (Keith) Mummery. Much loved Granny of Austin, Max, Grace, Sophie and Maddie. Loved and missed by her parents Sid and Heather Plunkett of Nova Scotia, her "soeur" Lynn Beck (Jack) of Port Hope, her big brother Stu Plunkett of Saskatchewan, Uncle Bob Bullard of Nova Scotia, her nieces and nephews Jeff (Lisa) Beck, Sarah (Clint) Gaylor, Wendy (Trevor) Martin, Shelly (Shane) Holland and their families. Great friend to her mother-in-law Barbara Burroughsford of Port Dover, brother-in-law Bob (Janet) Burroughsford and their son Andrew of Bulington. Also survived by her brother-in-law Tom (Rose) and their children Matthew, Bruce and Rosie. Dianne was predeceased by her father-in-law Bruce Burroughsford (1992). While she was well, Dianne was a member of the Port Dover Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #158, Silver Lake Rebekah Lodge #150, the Heather Club and the choir at Knox Presbyterian Church. She was always the first to lend an ear, a shoulder or a hand to someone in need and she will be greatly missed. Friends are invited to meet with the family to share their memories of Dianne on Friday, November 12, 2010, 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530. A Service to Celebrate Dianne's life will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 11 am in the funeral home Chapel. The Reverend James Douglas officiating. Cremation to follow.
